your role

  • You take ownership of the account-based sales strategy by tracking sales goals and objectives and reporting on results/ by developing and implementing new initiatives, strategies and programs;

  • You work in close collaboration with the CEO to accelerate the growth of the company and tap into new markets and clients;

  • You are a networker by heart. You represent the company and easily connect with potential clients. You inspire existing clients;

  • You generate demand by reaching out to your network using modern tools and mechanisms;

  • You are the liaison between the client and our technical experts;

  • You coordinate with Marketing on any account-based activities and events to fuel demand generation;

  • You will look at market trends, market requirements, competitor analysis; all of which will feed and support our product development.

your responsibilities

As Sales Director you will look to expand Gorilla’s clientele primarily in the Australian energy market.

You implement an effective sales strategy according to company goals and objectives, aiming to accelerate growth. Focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction, you analyse the market and detect the right opportunities and leads. You target a clear client segmentation, in which you identify new commercial opportunities and open the doors to get in. To generate business, you approach new markets and clients, as well as using existing and potential customer networks.

To acquire a new customer, you collaborate with your tech colleagues to fully represent Gorilla. Together, you analyse client needs to tailor our product solution.
Additionally, you build long-term trusting relationships with clients by responding to their queries in a timely manner. You aspire to deliver an excellent customer experience.

In short, you get the deals done; making sure all the contracts are signed and sealed, so our team can deliver!


  • You have a strong commercial experience and network within the utility market;

  • As a digital native you’re passionate about business efficiency & innovation;

  • Experience within enterprise software / IT sales a must, with SaaS a big plus;

  • The commercial beast within you combines strategic thinking with a hands-on approach;

  • You’re ambitious with a contagious drive;

  • You love a start-up environment where growth is core to our organization;

  • Your English is impeccable.
