We’re at a turning point in history. Climate change is changing the world faster than ever before. Utilities will play a crucial role in the transformation of our society to fight climate change and become carbon-neutral, while at the same time making sure people and businesses can continue to use energy supply like they’ve been used to for so many years.
At Gorilla, we’re determined to not stay aside, but to make a real impact on the utility industry by providing data services that allow utilities to play the role they need to play in the quest for a net-zero society. By building something that solves a real problem, and by being the best at what we do.
You are the single point of contact for the customer and project stakeholders when it comes down to the technical delivery of our solution.
You use your technical knowledge and vision to steer both internal and external stakeholders.
You work closely with the Gorilla sales department to set the right stakeholder expectations and create customer tailored proposals.
Together with the project manager, subject matter expert and the data engineering team, you take delivering IT projects to the next level.
With your ideas on process improvements, you drive Gorilla professional services forward.
As our Solution Architect, you challenge our clients and engineers on requirements, integration architecture, scalability and risks, leaving no assumption unchallenged and no stone unturned.
Towards our clients, you represent and demonstrate Gorilla’s beautiful technical architecture. You know how it works and what blockers are holding back the perfect flow. You advise our international clients on how Gorilla can be feasibly implemented in their organisation and provide feedback on the architectural design.
Your job starts with analysing and understanding our client’s business, infrastructure and tech stack to define an integration roadmap between their ecosystem and Gorilla. Starting during the sales phase, all the way throughout the implementation of a project, you participate actively in workshops with different stakeholders. From start to finish, you translate technical project details into a language that both very technical and non-technical participants can understand. You effortlessly describe the structure, characteristics, behaviour, and other aspects of software to all project stakeholders. Additionally, you know exactly what our clients need and thus what Gorilla needs to offer them.
By gathering all information from Gorilla’s stakeholders, you create technical documentation and diagrams and identify the necessary specs. Keeping all functional and nonfunctional requirements in mind, you determine the technical design and our integration game plan with a variety of tech stacks at our clients. You ensure that the overall architecture is maintained coherently throughout the project lifecycle. Though, always keeping system integrations and the product specifications in mind.
As a strong believer in co-creation and teamwork, you naturally do all of this in close collaboration with our colleagues.
You have at least 5 years of proven experience in large IT projects.
You have proven experience with system integrations and architectural design of digital products.
You’re a people person, just as much as a tech person. You can swap your tech hat for your client hat effortlessly.
You have the mental flexibility to dive deep into details of the data to ensure quality, while still understanding the big picture.
Knowledge of distributed technologies of one of the major cloud providers (preferably AWS) is key.
You know your way around loads of integration services, ranging from service bus, streams, iPaaS platforms, REST APIs, data synchronization services, …
You feel best in a fast-paced environment;
Experience in the Energy & Utilities sector is a major asset.
You speak and write English fluently and are open to travel once a month.
You become part of an ambitious organisation and an enthusiastic team with a mindset to win! As Gorilla is growing at an incredible pace, you can leave your mark – growing alongside Gorilla.
Gorilla’s technical complexity requires us to constantly research and test new technologies – leveraging their strongest assets to make Gorilla performant and impressive. We actively challenge ourselves and our colleagues, in order to always improve our skills, methodology and capabilities. Lifelong learning is essentially embedded in our organisation.
On top of that we enjoy the perks of a spin-off. We’re part of November Five, meaning we have access to their expertise, knowledge, and supporting services.
