October 2024 - Gorilla, a leading energy technology company, has been awarded the prestigious title of 'Most Sustainable Company 2024 for Climate & Energy (SME)' at the Trends Impact Awards.

The Trends Impact Awards, held annually in Belgium, recognise businesses and projects that have made valuable contributions to the global energy transition. Finalists are selected by PwC and Antwerp Management School through a rigorous review process, which includes both a sustainability assessment and a maturity assessment. Winning projects have reduced carbon emissions with scientifically-substantiated objectives, a key focus area for the judging criteria

"Gorilla takes energy dinosaurs into modern times," said the judging panel, who were impressed by the smart algorithms Gorilla has developed. These applications and automations help major energy companies worldwide to reduce their energy consumption more efficiently and better match supply with demand and cost.

"This award recognizes the sustainable impact Gorilla customers make in accelerating the global energy transition using innovative tech solutions, and hopefully continues the positive acceleration within the energy sector towards a renewables-first, carbon net-zero future," said Ruben Van den Bossche, Co-Founder and CEO at Gorilla. “Gorilla's approach is vital in countries that are leading the charge towards electric and more eco-friendly solutions. Regardless of location, all energy companies need better insight and more control over their production chains and their supply, with fewer manual considerations, powered by data."

For Gorilla, this award acknowledges the sustainable impact its customers make in accelerating the global energy transition using innovative tech solutions, and continues positive acceleration within the energy sector towards a carbon net-zero future.

The Trends Impact Awards aim to recognize projects that have reduced carbon emissions with scientifically-substantiated objectives, a key focus area for the judging criteria.
